Position: Test Engineer (Manual with HW Test Focus)

Salary range: 35M - 40M NET

Contract duration: 6 months (can extend)

Working time: Mon to Fri. From 9am- 6pm (VNT)

Working type: Hybrid working (Normally, onsite work is around 2 days per week.

However, this is not fixed and will depend on project needs)

What's the role?

As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible to perform manual and hardware based testing for customer projects in various industries, including Automotive, Transports and Logistics. This role also involves managing and driving all aspects of handling the Customer Hardware/Devices.

Key Responsibilities

Test Development and Execution

• Exhibit strong expertise in the design and development of manual test cases, including integration, acceptance, and performance testing.

• Analyze project requirements and user acceptance criteria to translate user stories into well-defined and actionable test cases.

• Plan, develop, and maintain comprehensive test cases and test suites to ensure coverage and traceability.

• Perform Hardware and/or Emulator-based Manual Testing.

• Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects and issues arising from major enhancements or minor change requests.

• Good to have : Develop automated test scripts using Python or other relevant automation frameworks such as Java.

Technical Collaboration and Communication

• Maintain an in-depth understanding of the system architecture and actively contribute to test case reviews and other Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) activities.

• Effectively communicate complex technical issues and solutions to a broad range of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.

• Provide accurate time estimates for the design and implementation of new or updated test scenarios and cases.

Who are you?

• English: intermediate level

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably with a specialization or background in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on hardware/emulator-based manual testing.

• Proven track record in testing large, integrated software systems across diverse platforms and environments.

• Solid experience in Hardware-based Manual Testing, with a sound understanding of software testing methodologies and life cycles.

• Deep knowledge of testing principles, including working with various staging environments and ensuring traceability of requirements.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail and quality.

• Basic understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS/S3.

• Proficiency in working with databases, particularly with SQL.

Preferred Skills and Additional Qualifications

• Professional testing certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, CP-BAT, CP-MAT, CPSAT, or equivalent are highly desirable.

• Knowledge of test automation tools and scripting languages such as Python or Java is a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with location-based technologies, such as mapping, navigation, and GPS systems.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multicultural and distributed team environments.
